Terrier Of Glebe Lands 1612
A terrier of all the glebes, lands, garden and orchards,
stock, implements and portion of tythes belonging to the parsonage of Syston,
made by the parson. Whole names are
subscribed as much as the said pastor do know.
The tenth day of September 1612.
Imprimis the parsonage dwelling house together with a
bakehouse, a barn, a stable and a stall for oxon or kynd ( sic).
In a garden and orchard lying on the south side of the said
parsonage house containing by estimation one acre or thereabouts.
Earable ( sic) land and pasture adjoining to the parsonage
house on the South and West side containing by estimation some acres or
thereabouts which said earable ( sic ) land and pasture are bounded with the
Kings highway on the North and West part and the land of Walter Shang, a
gentleman on the South side and the orchard of the said parsonage on the East
side.
In one other close of pasture called or known by the name of
Priests Hill containing by estimation three acres or thereabouts together with
a good grow of wood adjoining to the said close or pasture containing by
estimation two acres, which close of pasture and grows are bounded on the South
and West side with the lands of Sir Henry Billingsley, knight now in occupation
and tenure of Robert Bullock and on the
West side with the lands of Sir Henry Billingsley belonging to a
tenement in the tenure of Robert Clark and
on the North side with the copies (sic) woods of the said Sir Henry Billingsley
with said parsonage together with the premises and all mannor ( sic) of tythes within the parish,in their
proper kinds as they do fall are in the posessionand occupation of John
Honeybourne now parson of Syston above named.
