A few weeks back a tooth was found looking suspiciously human amongst hundreds of animal teeth found over the years. Today we visited our brilliant and very helpful dentist Ismini Kokkaliari who confirmed the tooth shown in the images below is indeed a human molar. This then is an important and momentous discovery and gives another opportunity for more scientific diagnostics when we can afford it. The data gained from where it was found suggests the tooth could relate to the 11th to 12 century. Ismini pointed out there was no decay on the crown of the tooth but the roots were diseased suggesting little sugar intake but bad gums.
Many thanks to Ismini who gave us her time and knowledge so willingly.
